Package: util-linux Version: 2.20.1-5.7 Severity: normal File: /sbin/cfdisk
Dear Maintainer, I've tried three versions of Debian and all fail to correctly detect the disks on my new machine. I've tried 'stable' x86 and amd64, and 'testing' amd64. I have 2 2TB disks formatted as NTFS which I want to repartition. However the intaller (cfdisk?) claims that the 1st drive has two partitions (300MB and the rest) - it doesn't it only has one, and the 2nd drive has no paritions and no data - that's also wrong it has one partition with data on it. I can't install Debian on this machine and I'd really like it to be dual-boot. Please advise. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.13-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages util-linux depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.52 ii dpkg 1.17.6 ii initscripts 2.88dsf-53 ii install-info 5.2.0.dfsg.1-2 ii libblkid1 2.20.1-5.7 ii libc6 2.18-4 ii libncurses5 5.9+20140118-1 ii libselinux1 2.2.2-1 ii libslang2 2.2.4-16 ii libtinfo5 5.9+20140118-1 ii libuuid1 2.20.1-5.7 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian12 ii tzdata 2014b-1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-1 util-linux recommends no packages.
