I remember that we had a few issues in the past. One being that the journal file was blown up incredibly causing important log data to be "rotated away" Another one, that it could slow down the system considerably if lots of coredumps were triggered. E.g. I noticed that when running the glib test suite which triggered the coredump handler quite often. I'm a bit reluctant because of this and we should make sure to not cause any regressions when enabling this feature.
