I am not able to reproduce this in texmacs 1:1.0.7.15-2 on a machine
running a mix of Debian Wheezy (stable) and Jessie (testing). In order
to understand the issue better could you please try one thing?
Move the ~/.TeXmacs directory to a different folder and start TeXmacs
from scrach. You should be able to do this by
$ mv ~/.TeXmacs ~/.TeXmacs_bakup
$ texmacs
Please let us know if this works or not.
