It seems there are missing symbols in Cogl.
Using python:
$ python -c "from gi.repository import Cogl; Cogl.path_round_rectangle"

AttributeError: 'gi.repository.Cogl' object has no attribute
'path_round_rectangle'
Using Ruby, this snippet should print someting:
$ ruby -e "require 'gobject-introspection'; \
r=GObjectIntrospection::Repository.default; r.require('Cogl'); \
print r.find('Cogl', 'path_round_rectangle')"
These commands work well using:
