Bug#734864: fglrx-driver: Starting X with fglrx as selected driver results in a, segmentation fault and black screen on boot.

Dear Maintainer,

I am experiencing the same issue on my "old" desktop computer, as
described by Florian, expect that the virtual consoles remain available.

I tried to purge, install (from sid), aticonfig --initial the driver’s
packages without any success : black screen on boot after a segmentation
fault.

Note: the free radeon driver does not work well with my hardware
(displays artifacts & causes instabilities), so I am writing this
message from another computer (and I forgot to copy the xorg logs).
