Package: hotplug Version: 0.0.20040329-25 Severity: normal After upgrading hotplug to the version in Unstable my wireless card no longer connects to the router.
I have a Cisco Aironet 340. This normally works without problems on my IBM Thinkpad 50e. However, the above problem began to appear a few weeks ago following a routine dist-upgrade. I spent a long time looking for a bug in wireless-tools, without success. I therefore made a test installation of Debian Stable in a spare partition and tried selectively upgrading packages. Hotplug broke the wireless connection; putting this package on hold allows me to upgrade things normally. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.13.4 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages hotplug depends on: ii bash 3.0-17 The GNU Bourne Again SHell ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.4.59 Debian configuration management sy ii grep 2.5.1.ds2-4 GNU grep, egrep and fgrep ii module-init-tools 3.2-pre9-4 tools for managing Linux kernel mo ii modutils 2.4.27.0-3 Linux module utilities ii procps 1:3.2.6-2 /proc file system utilities ii sed 4.1.4-4 The GNU sed stream editor Versions of packages hotplug recommends: ii ifupdown 0.6.7 high level tools to configure netw ii pciutils 1:2.1.11-15.1 Linux PCI Utilities pn usbutils <none> (no description available) -- debconf information: hotplug/ignore_pci_class_display: true hotplug/net_agent_policy: hotplug hotplug/static_module_list: hotplug/usbd_enable: true * hotplug/usb_keyboard: hotplug/x11_usbmice_hack: false -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
