Well, indeed it crashes. And indeed it loses data: I load a file, I work on it and then save it after having worked minutes, hours or even days, as I often leave Gnumeric open indefinitely. If I then close Gnumeric, all the work I have done until that point is lost, as the file cannot be read back. >IMHO support for proprietary format is a courtesy and a good will of gnumeric >developers but not an essential functionality.
