There are some problem in grub-common to replace the configuration scripts stored in grub.d/ dir.
The only way to fix the bug for me was the complete removal of grub (purge) and reinstalling. # apt-get purge grub* # apt-get install grub2 After purging and reinstalling it builded the grub.cfg correctly, and # update-grub its working again.
