OK, you are right, the JavaScript seems to be incorrect so I suppose pushing for a fix is hard to justify. In my case I have no control over the broken JavaScript I am trying to parse, so I'll go with the patch you produced and hope that the authors of the pages fix their software. I see no objection to closing the bug. Thanks for your time and for the research you did on this issue!
