Hello Lennard and Upstream, because of the missing --timeout feature, I put my dialogs into functions (BASH) , where I catch the PID, put them into the background and disown it. Then I kill after a specified time the process.
Under dialog there is simpel the --timout option, which close the dialog. I like to see this feature very fast, because I am developing some small (helper)apps used under Etch, the coming release of Debian.
