Hello Lennard and Upstream,

because of the missing --timeout feature, I put my dialogs into
functions (BASH) , where I catch the PID, put them into the
background and disown it. Then I kill after a specified time
the process.

Under dialog there is simpel the --timout option, which close the
dialog.

I like to see this feature very fast, because I am developing some
small (helper)apps used under Etch, the coming release of Debian.

Thanks
Michelle
