Package: ruby-nora Severity: important X-debbugs-CC: pkg-ruby-extras-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org
Hi ruby-nora maintainers, ruby-nora depends to ruby1.8 that is intended to remove now, and it's not easy to port ruby1.9.1, 2.0 and 2.1. Also ruby-nora is not maintained in upstream since 2004, distribute site raa.ruby-lang.org was retired and encourge to use gems but there's no nora gems. Without love for 10 years is enough. It's not worth to maintain ruby-nora package more, IMO. >henrich@debian:~/tmp/tdiary-v4.0.3$ grep-dctrl -F Depends ruby-nora -s Source -s Package /var/lib/apt/lists/*_Packages | sort | uniq > >Package: libnora-ruby1.8 >Source: ruby-nora >henrich@debian:~/tmp/tdiary-v4.0.3$ grep-dctrl -F Depends libruby-nora1.8 -s Source -s Package /var/lib/apt/lists/*_Packages | sort | uniq > Fortunately, no packages depend on ruby-nora. So, maintainer, what do you think? Please tell us your thought. If no objection for it, I'll file RM request for ruby-nora. -- Hideki Yamane
