Further notes on this bug that I just noticed: 1. When using the "Get Mail" button to check the server, the message list behaves as I would prefer, with messages visible and actionable while checking. So this only seems to happen when the message list is updated by clicking/selecting a folder in the folder list. I think I would like very much if there was an option to NOT check the server just by clicking/selecting a folder, and allow server checking only from the Get Mail button - perhaps this is already an option?
2. I do not use automatic mail-checking (every 10 minutes, etc.). It seems like claws-mail is smart enough to NOT check the server when clicking/selecting the Folder if the "Get Mail" button has been used recently - however, there is still a small (quite small, though) delay before the message list is recreated when I select some folders within this time - probably just the delay of reading the cached data from disk. Perhaps it would be good to provide an option to keep the cached message list in RAM for super-fast message listing? Thanks again, to all of you!
