I tested the script by installing it and created a dummy package containing only the "schema" folder of xml-core + the "*.xmlcatalogs" file and the "--with xml-core" works now perfectly. Added an example section in the documentation of dh_installxmlcatalogs using this option. The new file is installed using debian/xml-core.install It will be available in 0.13+nmu3 that will be uploaded in the next few days.
