Package: avr-libc
Version: 1:1.8.0-4
Severity: wishlist

avr-libc upstream development seems more or less stalled. Unfortunately
it means support for new devices and bug fixes are not available. Atmel
is providing a set of patches to apply on top of avr-libc 1.8.0 at this
URL:

http://distribute.atmel.no/tools/opensource/Atmel-AVR-Toolchain-3.4.2/avr/avr-patches.tar.gz

It will solve bug like #739953. Do you think it would be possible to
use (at least part of) this patchset for the Debian package? Note that
the tarball also includes patches for binutils and gcc which might be
interesting to include, though upstream development for these is still
active.
