I have exactly the same problem but the crash is triggered by opening a new tab in Chromium.
I'm using Debian Testing with the 3.12-1-amd64 Kernel on a HP Probook 4540s laptop with the following video card: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Thames [Radeon HD 7550M/7570M/7650M] I also have the same segfault error and backtrace in my Xorg.0.log unfortunately I reverted to the 1:13.12-3 drivers and restarted my laptop a few times so I have lost the log file. If you need me to do some test I can reinstall the 1:14.1~beta1.3-1 drivers. Thanks, Paolo
