I just tested the latest kernel from kernel.org (3.14-rc4) and the problem persists there as well with the same config from debians 3.12 kernel. I then tried removing the brcmsmac module before entering sleep mode and when I do that the computer wakes up as expected. So it seems there's an issue with brcmsmac
