Elena, thank you for taking care of the new upstream version for
python-whiteboard. I asked more than once "pnegre" how it was
possible to know when a new version in his repository
https://github.com/pnegre/python-whiteboard/ is trustworthy, and got no
response.

He maintains two branches, the branch "master" and a branch "r1". The
branch "r1" has got no modification since 4 years; the branch "master"
has been modified 3 months ago. However he sent no signal to notify
whether the update was important, or whether the last version could be
considered as good for a public release. Comment in
https://github.com/pnegre/python-whiteboard/tree/master/stuff are
sibylline: "Small updates", "Small patch by primes2h".

As I am not a regular user of python-whiteboard, my concern was to get a
precise information about which source snapshot deserves packaging. Now
I have a precise indication: you are a regular user of this software,
and you could check the contents of the snapshot "git20140207".

Dear Elena, would you be kind enough to exchange a few e-mails with
pnegre, and ask him to add you as a contributor for the repository
https://github.com/pnegre/python-whiteboard ?

If he agrees, you can use Git to push a tag in the repository each time
you believe that it is worth a new Debian package. There is currently no
debian/watch file in my package, and I can add one as soon as someone
takes care to push tags: the debian watch system can easily detect such
changes.

I shall upload your package now.

Best regards, Georges.
