Version: 1.2.10+cvs20050809-4
Seems that -Q commandline option is now available. On any given
playlist, xmms -Q <file> will queue <file> in the playlist. It doesn't
matter if it's empty or has some songs. Probably the -e (enqueue) option
will work better.
If you add the -p commandline option, the playlist will start playing.
This means that if the queue was empty and you used -Q, it will start
playing your song. But in a 2-or-more-item-playlist, this won't work.
Furthermore, if you're allowing multiple instances, you _need_ to
specify what session ID you're controlling (since you can have different
queues for different XMMS windows). You can now this probably by looking
at owners of the /tmp/<user>.n files, where n is your session ID
(default is 0 is you don't have multiple instances allowed).
Documentation about the socket is in #276498
