That's because in Epiphany if the web process crashes it just reports the error that you mention but doesn't kill the browser. But the problem is still there. WebKitGTK+ 2.4 will be released soon. There are packages with the pre-release (2.3.90) available in experimental. If you can test with those and the problem is fixed, we can just wait for the new release.
