Hey, As I've stated in my previous comment (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=738969#10), it appears that this bug belongs to apt. I am able to reproduce it by running any bash/ruby script that outputs anything during Post-Invoke hook execution, after a dpkg error. It seems to be directly connected to https://bugs.debian.org/730795 . I'm running it on: apt-get --version apt 0.9.15 for amd64 compiled on Jan 25 2014 22:25:33 xfce4-terminal --version xfce4-terminal 0.6.3 (Xfce 4.10) bash --version GNU bash, version 4.2.45(1)-release (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu) Regards, T.
