Source: xserver-xorg-video-ati Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
the release message for 7.3.0 states: --- xserver-xorg-video-ati (1:7.3.0-1) unstable; urgency=low * New upstream release. * Explicitly disable glamor for now to prevent a FTBFS. --- and that makes no sense. The source builds just fine if one fetches it from upstream git repos. But maybe it doesn't build because there is no debian package of glamor even though the source is sitting in git? Who knows? Asking maintainers doesn't help because nobody seems to give a f*ck and answers mails. Or is this a ubuntu-only party now? Other bug reports (against -radeon) got no answers but rude comments and left (reporting) users in the rain. This change makes debian even more unusable if one happens to have a recent radeon card. I would be happy if somebody could *explain* how to solve that situation. regards, frank -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.13.1-tahiti+1 (SMP w/8 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
