Hello Ctte,
I formerly request that Steve Langasek abstain from voting on this
issue due to a clear conflict of interest: he is a top contributor to
Upstart <https://launchpad.net/upstart/+topcontributors>, and thus
cannot make a clear-minded technical decision. This is compounded, of
course, with his other clear conflicts of interest surrounding
Canonical Ltd, which make him unfit for participating in this vote. His
interests are not solely concerned with the betterment of Debian.
If Steve Langasek chooses to go forward with the vote, I formerly ask
the ctte to consider his immediate removal from the ctte, abiding by
the Debian constitutional processes for such a removal.
