I'm afraid it will not enter sarge, because sarge is now stable and only critical bug fixes may enter it. As for the other bugs, you can see them on http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=ez-ipupdate . The ones marked "resolved" are only fixed in unstable.
