Hi Axel, first of all, please Cc the submitter when answering to him - the BTS does *not* send a copy to the submitter except when you add either his email address or <bugnumber>-submit...@bugs.debian.org to the Cc.
http://qa.debian.org/popcon-graph.php?packages=git-arch git suggests git-arch, and git-all depends on git-arch. git-arch depends on tla. That explains the increasing number of people who have tla installed. If there are still any old Arch repos left anywhere I do see the point of git-arch being available for converting them. But I seriously doubt anyone is still using GNU Arch, which is dead upstream since 2006. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?src=tla The latest open bug from someone actually using it seems to be #419817 from 2007. And according to the package changelog, no more recent bugs from users were ever fixed. [1] And I do therefore also doubt that there is any value left in libarch-perl. That's my answer to you, and my attempt to convince you. If that doesn't convince you, please follow the advice I gave when reporting this bug: Feel free to close this bug if you disagree. cu Adrian [1] bugs like FTBFS do not indicate that anyone uses it -- "Is there not promise of rain?"
