What CPU are you using? Can you provide the output from:

grep CPU /proc/cpuinfo

I suggest stopping the service:

sudo service thermald stop

and then manually start it by hand:

sudo thermald --no-daemon --loglevel=debug >& debug.log

let it run for a while and the stop it, and attach the debug.log to the
bug report. Thanks
