Followup-For: Bug #732408 Control: found -1 1.3 Hi Charles,
the last update didn't fix the piuparts issue: # bash -x /usr/sbin/update-menu-lst + set -e ++ tr '[A-Z]' '[a-z]' ++ uname -s + host_os=linux + grub_dir=/boot/grub ++ mktemp -t device.map.XXXXXXXX + tmp_map=/tmp/device.map.OJvLRvXB + grub-mkdevicemap --device-map=/tmp/device.map.OJvLRvXB --no-floppy + menu_file_basename=menu.lst + menu_file=/boot/grub/menu.lst ++ find_device / ++ grub-probe --device-map=/tmp/device.map.OJvLRvXB -t device / + root_device= # grub-probe --verbose --device-map=/tmp/device.map.OJvLRvXB -t device / grub-probe: info: changing current directory to /dev. grub-probe: info: changing current directory to mapper. grub-probe: info: changing current directory to pts. grub-probe: info: changing current directory to shm. grub-probe: error: cannot find a device for / (is /dev mounted?). /tmp/device.map.OJvLRvXB is an empty file. No, /dev is not mounted. But even if it were, it would not help since / is inside a tmpfs. No other grub or grub related packages are having installation issues inside this piuparts setup.
