I thought that "Considering my previous comment, this does not seems to be really relevant." was a polite, but clear enough, way to ask you to stop cross-posting your apparently off-topic discussion (if it is not off-topic, make it clear).
To get back to the subject, apparently a bugfix in hddtemp should avoid this bug to occur http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=335571 It is still unclear to me if it is acceptable or not that a simple bug in a software like hddtemp can cause the kernel to segfault, especially not while it occurs since a video card change. -- Mathieu Roy -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
