I run LXDE and it is started from lightdm that is using
lightdm-gtk-greeter. I changed its window manager to FVWM2. That
im-config command was written in uxterm.

I forgot to tell, that it shows dialog-boxes, but that last one, where
I can select configuration seems not to have any effect.

Here is, how it behaves with that locale:

% im-config
E: (zenity:17230): is bogus configuration for Gtk-CRITICAL. Doing nothing.

I tried again also with my normal Finnish locale and right now that
output is like this:

% im-config
E: (zenity:17951): is bogus configuration for Gtk-CRITICAL. Doing nothing.

Maybe some packages has been updated during these few days.

You forgot to give me the answer to that last question. At least
im-config do not create new ~/.xinputrc . Is it still used? Or is
configuration im-config nowadays somewhere in ~/.config .

I'll try updating the whole system to testing next weekend. BTW what
do you think about my apt-configs?:

Most of the time I use preferences.stable as preferences-file.
