Well, I think I've found my sponsor. :) I had a look at the package and I think it should be doable to release 2.4.1 in time without having to revamp everything. I also intend to enable all hardening build flags provided this won't cause any regressions. First of all thanks to Jacob and Marko for your bug triaging and comments. I've already read some bug reports and it's likely that some of them can be closed. At least I'm going to fix #726221 and #730868. :) Please let me know if you are aware of other bug reports that you think are obsolete. One of my biggest concerns is about the embedded lua libraries. Obviously until 2.4.0-1 Debian's lua5.1 system library has been used but the patch for making that happen has been removed with the last upload. What are the reasons for shipping those libraries? Is it possible to replace them with system libraries? Cheers, Markus
