Subject: curl: bad behaviour if --limit-rate 10KB or XYKB (not XYK)
Package: curl
Version: 7.13.2-2
Severity: minor

-- System Information:
Debian Release: 3.1
Architecture: i386 (i686)
Kernel: Linux 2.4.27ltspke9-nf2-v07a-sata-experimental
Locale: LANG=sk_SK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=sk_SK (charmap=ISO-8859-2)

Versions of packages curl depends on:
ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcurl3 7.13.2-2 Multi-protocol file transfer libra ii libidn11 0.5.13-1.0 GNU libidn library, implementation
ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7e-3sarge1 SSL shared libraries
ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4.sarge.2 compression library - runtime

-- no debconf information
******
curl --limit-rate 10KB -O ftp://debian.sh.cvut.cz/DATA/debian-cd/3.1_r0a/i386/iso-dvd/debian-31r0a-i386-binary-1.iso
will set download speed 10 Bytes/sec which is IMHO incorrect.

I think in this situation curl should do:
1) Message to user that --limit-rate does NOT recognize KB (only K/k, M/m, G/g) and finish OR
2) only finish OR
3) Message to user that xyKB is interpreted as xyB and continue OR
4) it's up 2U :)

I vote for 1)

Thanks much for curl & maintainig package!
