Thanks for your report.

The problem with upgrading right now to 3.2.0 from the RC is that the
packages changed ABI from our RC to the final 3.2.0, and thus require
new binary package names, and they will have to wait for approval by
the FTP team for an undeterminate amount of time (often weeks and
sometimes months), and require binNMUs or even patches to some
packages if the API also changed.

We have things prepared for 3.2.1 since October, but what was
available at the time was also an RC, 3.2.1RC1 I think, and we didn't
want to have the same problem as with the RC of 3.2.0 (changes between
RC and final in API or ABI).

But the final version of 3.2.1, which was supposed to be launched
shortly after that RC (both in October), hasn't been released yet.
All attempts to get a date from upstream to release 3.2.1 were in
vain, as far as I know, and it continues to be "any day now".

Perhaps it would be easier to identify the commits fixing the problem
between the RC and final in 3.2.0, and apply them. This is probably
the quicker and easiest solution, unless it's the commits fixing the
issues what caused the API/ABI changes.

Cheers.
