Hello Matthias, I'm contacting you about #720545 (about the privileges dropping in bash).
Did you had the time to think about removing the patch that was introduced years ago (in 1999)? I think that if this we want this patch to be dropped for Jessie, we shouldn't do it too late in the development cycle in case it's causing side-effects to other packages. But Debian and its derivatives are the only distributions with this behavior, so I'm somewhat confident that all the other software have been adapted and that we shouldn't have too much surprises.
