Package: flash-kernel Version: 3.11 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
The QNAP TS-210 will not boot on a recent testing kernel (3.12-1) because the dtb file is not appended to the image file. For my machine, the correct dtb seems to be kirkwood-ts219-6281.dtb, and updating the database entry to: Machine: QNAP TS-119/TS-219 Kernel-Flavors: kirkwood DTB-Id: kirkwood-ts219-6281.dtb DTB-Append: yes Mtd-Kernel: Kernel Mtd-Initrd: RootFS1 U-Boot-Kernel-Address: 0x00008000 Required-Packages: u-boot-tools Bootloader-Sets-Root: yes ie. removing the machine-id part and adding the DTB-* entries at least made my system bootable. I'm however not sure if that entry will work correctly on other variants. Having both the Machine-Id entry and the DTB entries caused the scriptto fail. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: armel (armv5tel) Kernel: Linux 3.12-1-kirkwood Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages flash-kernel depends on: ii devio 1.2-1+b1 ii initramfs-tools 0.115 ii linux-base 3.5 flash-kernel recommends no packages.
