Package: vlogger Version: 1.3-3.1 Severity: minor Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
This is more a documentation issue than a bug but this can lead to confusion for those that don't really known how MySQL is working. In the vlogger-dbi.conf sample file, the host is set to localhost. The problem is that vlogger always chroot in logdir and therefore, it will never be able to connect to the MySQL server throught the socket. TCP connection should be used in place and so, you must replace 'localhost' by '127.0.0.1'. Thank you. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.12-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages vlogger depends on: ii libtimedate-perl 2.3000-1 ii perl 5.18.1-5 vlogger recommends no packages.
