Hi, Further investigation reveals that even the simplest call to
fft([1 2 3]); will crash octave. Backtrace points to fftw3 so I'm reassiging this to fftw3 package. I did apt-get source fftw3 and noticed that fftw3*/debian/rules passes --enable-sse to configure.
