Package: deja-dup Version: 20.2-2.1 Severity: wishlist Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
Deja-dup often works very well, the problem is that I have a lot of data and it takes a while to back up it all. This also means that I have two much to back it all up on remote storage, without paying a lot for remote storage, and so I use an external drive which is not ideal. Using an external drive also requires plugging it in each time. This all works fairly well for a weekly backup, but there are a few important files: the ones I am using a lot at the moment; that I would like to backup more often than than, and onto remote storage. I could do this with a second backup schedule, where my whole home folder would be backed up onto an external drive once a week, and a few small selected folders every day. I think this is not a desire only I have. However, I have not found a way to do it. It could be implemented fairly easily, without significant change to the user interface. When one backup schedule has been set up, there could be one prominent button somewhere indicating this option. If a secondary one was then set up, it could then be possible to change between looking at each, with different tabs, a drop down box, or many other possibilities. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.3 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages deja-dup depends on: ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.12.1-3 ii duplicity 0.6.18-3 ii libatk1.0-0 2.4.0-2 ii libc6 2.13-38 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.12.2-3 ii libcairo2 1.12.2-3 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.26.1-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.33.12+really2.32.4-5 ii libgnome-keyring0 3.4.1-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.4.2-7 ii libnautilus-extension1a 3.4.2-1+build1 ii libnotify4 0.7.5-1 ii libpango1.0-0 1.30.0-1 Versions of packages deja-dup recommends: ii openssh-client [ssh-client] 1:6.0p1-4 ii python-boto 2.3.0-1 pn python-rackspace-cloudfiles <none> deja-dup suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
