Package: libeatmydata Version: 26-2 Severity: normal This is related to #702711, but slightly different.
EFAULT is confusing to the naive user of libeatmydata, who sees only a call to open() returning an errno of EFAULT and is therefore tempted to try to figure out what is wrong with his or her pointer (not realizing that open() has been replaced). ELIBACC would be closer to the truth of what has gone wrong and a useful clue that shared-library shenanigans are involved. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.11-2-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
