This has been reported before, but I do not know what causes it, and nobody has provided enough information, such as what ssh password program is being run, for me to do anything about it. All I can tell is that ssh, despite git-annex testing that it can log into a remote system without a passowrd, sudddenly decides it needs a password. This is repeated once per file it tries to transfer. http://git-annex.branchable.com/bugs/Endless_SSH_password_prompts/ Taking a screenshot, and running ps -fax to find what programs are running, seem like the logical first steps to get anywhere on this problem. -- see shy jo
