Package: munin Version: 2.1.2-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
munin’s XHTML output is malformed XML in several places. This causes at least chromium to not render the output. Please consider fixing the errors, or preferably consider not producing XHTML output. There is no point in producing XHTML if you are not planning to use an XML parser for further processing, and you can’t do that if the XHTML is broken. Merely using it as a style, as is the case in munin, is pointless. There are at least two problems: * In the view of a single host, the headings of each plugin start with a a line: "<tr><td>Apache accesses<br>" <br> is never closed, which is not well-formed. * In the view of a single plugin for a single host, the URIs in the links to the zoomable graphs contain ampersand characters. As ampersand characters have special meaning in XML, those in the URIs need to be represented with character entity references in XML (&). -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (745, 'testing'), (400, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.11-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages munin depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii cron 3.0pl1-124 ii libdate-manip-perl 6.41-1 pn libdigest-md5-perl <none> ii libfile-copy-recursive-perl 0.38-1 ii libhtml-template-perl 2.95-1 ii libio-socket-inet6-perl 2.71-1 ii liblog-log4perl-perl 1.41-1.1 ii librrds-perl 1.4.7-2+b1 pn libstorable-perl <none> ii liburi-perl 1.60-1 ii munin-common 2.1.2-1 ii perl [libtime-hires-perl] 5.18.1-5 ii perl-modules 5.18.1-5 ii rrdtool 1.4.7-2+b1 ii ttf-dejavu 2.33+svn2514-3 Versions of packages munin recommends: pn munin-doc <none> ii munin-node 2.1.2-1 Versions of packages munin suggests: ii apache2-bin [httpd] 2.4.6-3 ii elinks [www-browser] 0.12~pre6-4 pn libapache2-mod-fcgid <none> ii libnet-ssleay-perl 1.55-1+b2 ii lynx-cur [www-browser] 2.8.8pre1-1 ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.3-12 -- Configuration Files: /etc/munin/apache.conf changed [not included] /etc/munin/munin.conf changed [not included] -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
