Package: subversion Version: 1.7.13-3 Severity: important It seems that the size of the .svn/pristine directory can get huge over time. For instance, in an old working copy (up to date):
ypig:~/wd> du -ks .svn/pristine 3061456 .svn/pristine and after a fresh checkout: ypig:~/wd-new> du -ks .svn/pristine 464448 .svn/pristine which is about the total size of the user files of the working copy (as expected, since the files are not compressed in the pristine directory). So, the size of the old .svn/pristine directory is about 6.6 times the size of the new one! In some contexts, this really matters. For instance, on one of my accounts, the waste takes 36% of the disk space! -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.11-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=POSIX, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages subversion depends on: ii libapr1 1.4.8-3 ii libc6 2.17-97 ii libsasl2-2 2.1.25.dfsg1-17 ii libsvn1 1.7.13-3 subversion recommends no packages.
