Dear Guillaume, thank you for your report. I believe that instead, the line "setup_encoding(response)" shouldn't have been part of the new version for squeeze. Indeed the code for setup_encoding is not present in the version of the library in squeeze. Instead of adding this code, could you try to remove the "setup_encoding(response)" line from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/openid/fetchers.rb?
