Good catch: The point is that we forgot to remove the output for dvipdfm. There is no dvipdfm anymore, all is now controlled by dvipdfmx which provides also the dvipdfm as link. Actually, setting the paper with tl-paper shows that, too: # tl-paper set all a4 /usr/bin/tl-paper: setting paper size for context to a4. /usr/bin/tl-paper: setting paper size for dvipdfmx to a4. /usr/bin/tl-paper: setting paper size for dvips to a4. /usr/bin/tl-paper: setting paper size for pdftex to a4. /usr/bin/tl-paper: setting paper size for xdvi to a4. # I will fix that in wherever it is necessary (TL upstream or Debian package).
