I have had conflicting requests from Fontforge users on their preferred representation of Unicode unassigned code points in Unifont. So I have decided to put together a poll to solicit feedback from GNU/Linux Fontforge users on how they want those glyphs rendered. The poll is here:
http://unifoundry.com/poll_unassigned/index.php Fontforge uses Unifont for its sample glyphs if Unifont is installed on a system. Because Fontforge users create fonts, many of which are free, Unifont truly has a multiplier effect in combination with Fontforge. So I want to make sure that most Fontforge users get what is most useful and intuitive to them in this next release (at least the ones who care to respond to the poll). I'll let this poll run for a week or two before finalizing the Unifont 6.3 release for Debian. I am eager to get the release done but want to let the poll run for a bit first.
