Ok. I just downloaded debian-hurd-something.img, a pre-installed image of hurd runnable in qemu/kvm and available on official debian cd mirrors. That one shows this bug nicely. And even more, we were able to find and fix the bug in question. Hopefully it will be included in the next release.
