Package: aptitude
Version: 0.4.0-2
Severity: normal

After managing my system with apt-get for ages, including upgrading from
oldstable to unstable, I finally installed aptitutde and got this error
when I first tried to install something:

E: failed to rename /var/lib/aptitude/pkgstates to
/var/lib/aptitude/pkgstates.old - save_selection_list (2 No such file or
directory)

Easy to work around - just touch /var/lib/aptitude/pkgstates - but the
package install should create this file if it doesn't exist.
