Hello. I'm sorry it too so long to reply - somehow I haven't received this message back in Jul, but found it in the bug history only now when looking at seabios bugs. Yes, the issue is relevant still, seabios still can't be built in jessie+, I build it on wheezy. Also, upstream, so far, hasn't been interested in fixing this, because, well, not many distributions packaged this version of iasl yet, so it isn't a big issue. Meanwhile, I've been pointed to this commit: https://github.com/acpica/acpica/commit/c79891a16a598cfeb1358fc3b3a84b760dfbfd88 which should allow proper extraction and modification of offsets of various places, without hacks as has been used in seabios and other places before (including the one we're talking about). There's still no support for this new option in seabios however, so just updating iasl will not help. I probably will be able to work it out on seabios side somehow...
