Package: installer
Version: debian-7.1.0-i386-CD-1.iso

I have been a linux advocate and user since 1999. I have been a debian
user and advocate since 2001. Debian has made choices that hurt users
REPEATEDLY and you need to stop, because it is hurting linux. Debian
decided through package choices to turn my computer into a brick,
requiring extra hardware to repair.

#1 recovery boot mode required full install before being able to write
grub. full install failed, previous debian version deleted, grub
attempted to install, grub extraction failed, master boot record
deleted completely. "No Operating System detected" error

#2 My wifi drivers were detected (iwlwifi), and then excluded from
installation based on license. This punishes users for hardware
purchases and choices by people who probably aren't debian users.

#3 NTFS writes were blocked at the driver level. The mount options had
tons of weird options. Doing a manual mount command = no write access.
I have been blocked from my data.

While any one of these errors is easily solved on its own, the
compound effect is that Debian intentionally turned my usable computer
into a brick. Debian intentionally causing errors creates a negative
perception of Linux. Debian bricked my machine *by design*, I will
never recommend it ever again. Stop hurting the community.

Your first feedback group, #debian on freenode has further compounded
this issue. Using almost identical text as above (I added my wifi
driver name) I received this helpful message:

How pissed off do you want to make me?
