Package: libwww-perl Version: 6.05-1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
To verify a remote host name, a SSL connection needs a certificate file. (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/74358/how-can-i-get-lwp-to-validate-ssl-server-certificates) On Debian, ssl-cert packages provides all required certificate files. To make life simpler for user, libwww-perl should point by default on /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt . Thus SSL connections would be able to verify host name without requiring configuration from users.
