FreeType 2.5 contains a new rasteriser for CFF (contributed by Adobe), which yields noticeably better results than the current rasteriser on low-resolution screens. Much as I enjoy hacking at LD_PRELOAD on my netbook, it would be nice to have the new rasteriser in Debian by default.
