could please give us some more information? Did you check this behaviour if you have disabled your plugins? What happen if you use a fresh clean profile? What you have done before you start icedove, did this happen right after login to your desktop? What kind of desktop dou you use? Did previous versions run without problems? Without further information it's not possible to fix such issues.
